Dog Walking

Regular walks are an important part of your dog’s health. I provide private, on-leash walks around the St. Johns neighborhood for your furry friend. Your dog’s safety and enjoyment are my top priority.

Pet Sitting / Drop-Ins

Pet sitting and drop-in services allow your pet to stay in a familiar setting while you’re away and maintain their routine. I provide pet sitting and drop in services to pets of all kinds!

Your pets are in excellent hands. I am a licensed and insured professional and take my responsibility to the safety and well-being of your pets very seriously.

Our dog Sophie absolutely loves her walks with Gina! She knows her by name and runs to the door any time she’s mentioned. Walks with Gina have done so much for Sophie’s confidence and Gina could not be kinder or easier to work with. She is incredibly communicative and prompt, and we love the reports and photos we get at the end of each walk. She’s also done in-home pet care for us when we’ve been out of town, and our cat Scout loves her as well. We know our pets are in great hands with Gina and we are so thankful for her.

Extended

45-Minute Walk / Drop-In

  • Dogs home alone for extended periods

$5/visit additional holiday fee applies to New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.

My name is Gina Dastrup and I live locally in the St. Johns neighborhood of Portland, Oregon. I am a very qualified licensed, insured pet sitter. A New Leash on Life PDX was established in 2019 after having experience as a professional pet sitter since 2016. My utmost goal is to be trustworthy, dependable and conscientious as well as providing your pets with a safe and loving environment. Paying attention to detail and exceeding expectations is important to me. I have a passion for life along with a profound love for animals.
